Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

This notice explains your right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, "CCPA/CPRA"), and how LotPilot handles that right. It applies to everyone who uses this dealer-facing site (dealers.lotpilot.com) as well as to shoppers and consumers who interact with dealer inventory pages, chat, and messaging that LotPilot powers on dealers' behalf. LotPilot is a Delaware C-Corporation, and we store data in the United States.

The short version

LotPilot does not sell your personal information for money, and we never resell leads. Our business model is built on helping dealers reach and respond to shoppers — not on brokering data. We do not trade your contact details to lead aggregators, data brokers, or list sellers.

There is one nuance the law asks us to be honest about. We run the Meta advertising pixel on this site, and under CCPA/CPRA the way that pixel passes advertising data to Meta can count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising — even though no money changes hands. This page tells you exactly what that involves and how to turn it off.

Why the Meta Pixel may count as "sharing"

The Meta Pixel is live on this dealer site. When it is active it:

• Initializes Meta's advertising code (the "fbq" function) in your browser.
• Tracks a PageView when you load a page, and conversion events across the funnel — such as ViewContent (viewing audit results), Lead, AddToCart, InitiateCheckout, AddPaymentInfo, Purchase, CompleteRegistration, Contact, and Schedule — when you take actions like running the audit, submitting a form, selecting a plan, or completing a paid signup.
• Sets first-party advertising cookies (named _fbp and _fbc) in your browser.
• Sends that activity to Meta Platforms, Inc. so Meta can measure and optimize advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
• Also sends these same events to Meta from our servers using Meta's Conversions API. This may include a hashed (irreversible) version of your email, phone, and name for matching — never your raw contact details — along with the _fbp/_fbc cookies, your IP address, and your browser's user-agent.

Because this shares information with Meta for cross-context behavioral advertising, CCPA/CPRA treats it as "sharing," and you have the right to opt out. Opting out stops this advertising data flow. It does not disable the parts of the site you actually need to use.

How to opt out of sharing

You have three ways to opt out, and you can use any of them:

• Global Privacy Control (GPC): If you turn on the GPC signal in your browser or extension (supported by Brave, DuckDuckGo, Firefox add-ons, and others), LotPilot honors it automatically. When we detect a GPC signal from you, we treat it as a valid opt-out of sharing and fire no Meta advertising pixel and no server-side Conversions API events for that browser. This is the most complete opt-out because it covers both the browser pixel and our server-side sharing.
• Disable advertising cookies: Use the cookie controls on this site to decline advertising and marketing cookies, or block/clear cookies in your browser. This limits the browser pixel and the _fbp/_fbc cookies; to also stop the server-side Conversions API, use the GPC option above or email us.
• Email us: Send a request to privacy@lotpilot.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share Request." We will apply the opt-out to the personal information we hold about you.

Because advertising cookies and the GPC signal are stored in your browser, an opt-out made this way applies to the specific browser and device you use. If you switch browsers, devices, or clear your cookies, you may need to opt out again.

Automated and AI communications

On behalf of the dealers we serve, LotPilot places and sends outbound phone calls, SMS text messages, and emails to consumers. These communications may be automated and AI-generated — they are not always handled by a live person — and they are delivered using third-party providers, including Twilio.

Where these communications require consent, that consent is to receive automated and AI-generated calls and texts, and:

• Message and data rates may apply.
• You can reply STOP at any time to opt out of text messages, and HELP for help.
• Consent to automated or AI calls and texts is not a condition of any purchase or of using a dealer's services.

Opting out of "sharing" for advertising, as described above, is separate from opting out of these messages. To stop messages, use STOP/HELP or contact the dealer or us directly.

Third-party AI and language-model providers

To answer questions, qualify and route leads, generate messages, book appointments, and analyze how dealers appear in AI-powered search, LotPilot may process consumer lead, chat, and message data using third-party large-language-model providers. These providers — which include OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, xAI, and Perplexity — act as our service providers and are contractually restricted from using your data to train their own models. Using service providers in this way is not a "sale" or "share" under CCPA/CPRA. A current list of our sub-processors is available on request at privacy@lotpilot.com.

Credit applications and financing

If a consumer chooses to start pre-qualification or a financing application, LotPilot collects the information needed to process it: name, address, date of birth, the last four digits of the Social Security number, and employment and income details. We transmit this information to the selected dealer or lender, processed through a credit service. This is not a sale of your data — it is the service you asked for. A pre-qualification is a soft inquiry; a hard credit inquiry is only performed with the consumer's consent. This activity is governed by our FCRA Notice.

Inventory posted to Marketplace and Craigslist

Dealers use LotPilot to automatically post their vehicle inventory to third-party platforms such as Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist. If you contact a dealer through one of those platforms, that inquiry is also subject to the platform's own terms and privacy practices, which LotPilot does not control.

Dealer-prospect and business data

When a business requests a demo, runs an AI-visibility audit, or submits the contact form on this dealer-facing site, LotPilot collects business contact details along with your IP address and browser/user-agent information, and processes them through a third-party automation and CRM workflow so our team can follow up. We use this to respond to you and manage our sales relationship — we do not sell it and we do not resell it as leads.

Authorized-agent requests

You may use an authorized agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. The agent must provide written proof that you authorized them to act for you, and we may still ask you to verify your own identity or confirm the authorization directly. Send authorized-agent requests to privacy@lotpilot.com.

We will not discriminate against you

Exercising your right to opt out will not cause us to deny you service, charge different prices, or provide a lower quality of service. CCPA/CPRA prohibits that kind of retaliation, and we agree with the principle.
